Happy New Year!! & a retrospective of 2019

First of all I want to wish all of you, and your family and loved ones an healthy and happy 2020! That like always your whishes may come true! This new year will be a year full of new challenges, new ideas and a lot of work to do in the community. Like every year I want to look back at they year the flew by, and it flew by with the speed of a bullet train.

The year 2019 was an awesome year for me, the first full year as an freelance consultant for Daalmans Consulting was beyond my expectation and also 2020 is looking good so far. The year 2019 was also a year full of community, meeting good friends and making new friends in the Microsoft communities across the world.

2019 was the year of;

  • Speaking at 16 (international) community events.
  • Delivered 26 presentations.
  • Meeting a lot of new peers in the Enterprise Mobility community
  • Starting my YouTube channel EnterpriseMobility.tips, a channel with random tips from the field.
  • (Still) writing chapters for a new book.
  • Reviewing a book by Nate Chamberlain which is released recently.
  • Resulting unfortunately in less blogging.

Speaking

The highlights for me were the ability to speak at both MMS conferences, MMSMOA in May in the Mall of America and MMS Jazz edition in New Orleans in November. Both pure community conferences and a heaven for people working with Microsoft Endpoint Manager (Configuration Manager, Microsoft Intune), but also for Azure and Security topics you are at the right place. In 2020 MMS will be held in May at the Mall of America in Minneapolis and in October San Diego will be the place to be. See here for more information: https://mmsmoa.com. I hope to be selected again for the 2020 editions so that I am able to meet you in Minneapolis or San Diego!

Also the TechMentor conferences are awesome! In 2019 I was invited to speak the TechMentor conference that is held at the Microsoft Headquarters in Redmond in August and the Live!360 conference with a TechMentor track in Orlando in November. If you are more general focused in IT, then TechMentor and Live!360 are definitely great places to learn from great speakers. Hope to see you in Redmond or Orlando this year also. But also speaking at events like ExpertsLive Netherlands, CMCE, Techorama, Lowlands Unite, AppManagEvent and more was awesome! Already looking forward to the new events of 2020!

Singing off from a sunny place reloading and making plans for 2020! See you all at one of the events coming up this brand new year!
